Handling
1973, Portuguese Guinea. In the dying days of the Guinea-Bissau War of Independence, Diminga searches the country for her husband, Sako, a freedom fighter. When peace finally arrives, they must learn how to live together in a nation—and a relationship—ravaged by the violence of war.
